Holy Spirt Inspired...
Christ-led...
Life Changing...
July 6th-August 4th, 2012Mature 16 year olds - 20s are invited to apply- Our Goal: John 13:6-11 is our theme passage for EDA. Our goal is to train young adults to be servant leaders who lead by example, just as Christ did in every way; especially when He washed the disciple’s feet. We challenge and inspire the students to take up their cross and follow Jesus for the glory of God and the good of people.
- The program: Our academy lasts between 25 - 35 days in the summer. 2012’s program will last 30 days this time and will include, during the last week, an extreme week of missions or ministry. In the past we’ve either gone overseas for mission work or stayed within the US for intense ministry. This year, we plan to either travel to Trinidad, WI or volunteer at a local secular event that will give our students the opportunity to be salt and light and will involve street ministry and witnessing (this is to be finalized and announced). During the program, we have an intense travel schedule that will keep us on the road ministering in revival most every night. Many churches have expressed interest in having us come minister. We are scheduling as the Lord directs. During the second week of the program, we will be at Youth Ablaze in Signal Mountain, TN. Our EDA students will continue their training with behind the scenes field work, set up, take down, teaching, leading, singing, playing instruments, and assisting International Youth Directors, Keith & Margie Nix. Everyday during the program we have chapel services with the students. Keith Nix leads most of these teachings and prayer times. Margie Nix and senior EDA students (4th year students and up) also help lead these chapel services from time to time. Students will be given an EDA workbook that will include assignments to challenge and inspire them to dig deep into the word of God and apply the life-giving truths to their personal and public lives. Students are expected to finish all assignments in the time allotted them.
- The Truth: EDA is specifically designed for young adult Christians who feel the call into ministry. Be prepared! You will be encouraged to sing with passion if you’re a singer, you will be pushed to play your instruments with excellence if you’re a musician, you will be expected to speak with great conviction and minister with boldness and wisdom if you’re a minister, if you’re not sure where your area of ministry is—then you will be expected to seek the Lord for direction and insight. Being lazy or rebellious is not acceptable, you will step up in every area of your life while on this program. You may even get a little ticked off or your feelings may get hurt, your sincerity will be tested at times, but when you choose to suck it up and stick it out, you will not only find yourself stronger in every area, but you will experience a spiritual fulfillment in a way you’ve never experienced. So...are you ready? We not only work hard, pray fervently, seriously study, have late nights and early mornings, we have intense amounts of fun and major Holy Ghost peer pressure!

The Cost: EDA’s tuition is $1500 per student for the first three weeks of the program. This amount will help cover student’s lodging, food, transportation, all materials, books, resources, and Youth Ablaze camp. An additional amount will be charged for the last week, depending on the outreach and schedule (but no more than $2000 total for all four weeks). There will be a $50 non-refundable application fee (which will be deducted from the total, if student is accepted) and at least 50% of the remaining tuition ($725) will be due by Friday, June 1st. Application deadline is Monday, May 14 and the approval letters will go out by Monday, May 21, along with fundraising letters for students to send to potential donors.
